#mutemonday Episode. 6 - Shastock Meg-A-Mute and Denis Wick Straight Mutes
Here’s the sixth installment of an exciting new series on trumpet mutes, #mutemonday
Each week I’ll be demonstrating and discussing new trumpet mutes. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get updates every week.
In this week's edition of #mutemonday I discuss and demonstrate a rare and unique vintage mute, along with some new straight mutes that everyone ought to have.
The Shastock Meg-A-Mute is an unusual and rare mute that was manufactured sometime around 1925, and it wasn't made for long. It has a unique sound which isn't currently available. As far as mutes that are currently made, there are few which share universal appeal and acclaim like the Denis Wick Products straight mute. It's one of the best mutes out there, and in this video I explore all three metal versions, the Aluminum, Copper, and Brass.
Note: This video isn't sponsored, but I am a proud Denis Wick Artist, and I do play Denis Wick mouthpieces and use their mutes. Denis Wick Products Ltd.
